Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I see my healthcare provider?
Your medical provider will always discuss a plan for follow-up visits with you. Your health is our first priority, so we encourage you to schedule an appointment or come as a walk-in patient anytime you are in need of medical attention.
Do I need a pap smear and mammogram every year?
It’s recommended that you have your first pap smear by age 21. If you are under 21 and have been sexually active for three years, you need a pap smear. Annual mammograms should begin at age 40.
Am I able to get all the blood screening tests I need at Star Medical?
Yes, we can test for glucose levels, liver function, kidney function, anemia and cholesterol. We also do tests for Urinary Tract infections.
My mother had breast cancer — am I at risk?
Yes. If you have a “first degree” relative with breast cancer, you are at risk and need to be seen by a health care provider.
Will you go over my current prescriptions and update them?
